Renovations: Whole-Home Remodel
The homeowners were an older couple who had a small, two bedroom ranch-style home. The location of their home was great and back yard had an awesome pool with great space for their two dogs to run. The problem was that their house was just to small.
Everything needed renovated, plus they were looking for a change overall. One of their biggest desires was to be able to live in their home through their older years, which made main level living space key to a successful renovation.
We added a second story cape cod-style addition to the main home and renovated the entire main level. The original two bedrooms and bath became a huge master suite with a custom master bath, large walk-in closet and a door out to the deck.
The custom hickory kitchen was exactly what the homeowners had envisioned with color selections based off one of the homeowner’s scarves that she enjoyed. Nearly every decision was based off the design of her scarf. The whole house coordinated to reflect that.
Mid-construction they got the wild idea to make the dining and living room spaces interchangeable and moved some of the electrical. Several years have gone by since we completed this addition. The homeowners continue to swap the function of their living and dining spaces to accommodate the seasons for pool time and entertaining.
